Service Desk Hours
The Link Service desk is open for the following hours while classes are in session.
- Monday through Thursday 8 AM to midnight
- Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
- Saturday 12 PM to 4 PM
- Sunday 3 PM to midnight
Hours will vary during holiday, intersession and break periods; hours for those periods will be posted on the OIT website here.
Duke Digital Initiative equipment circulates during service desk hours - if you need equipment, you should come at least 30 minutes before the desk closes to make sure you have enough time to fill out the checkout form.
The Service Desk provides full service to faculty, staff and students for the applications supported by OIT. We are able to give best effort support to other applications. For computer repair - problems with virus, spam, operating systems or hardware - the Service Desk will check in laptops from students. Unfortunately, we're not able to check in laptops for customers who are not Duke students. For faculty and staff, repairs are coordinated with and/or referred to local support or Duke Computer Repair.

Borrow equipment
The Link Service Desk can lend Link users equipment such as individual laptops and carts, digital video kits, iPods with microphones, and more. Please see Available Equipment for more information about equipment that you can borrow from the Link.
